BETWEEN THE SCANS

Hello! I am Melanie. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and a person living with cancer. Welcome to my blog: Between the Scans. When I started this blog, I was subject to quarterly scans. I am thrilled to say that for the last two years, I have been on an annual schedule and continue to show no evidence of disease. However, I will not forget from what I have been spared, and will continue to cherish each day! Save for the first few posts, my blog has very little to do with cancer. Rather, it is about life: the beautiful, fun, hard, mundane days.

From the Blog: Easter Eggstravaganza!

“Mimi, angs (eggs)!” My darling 2½ year old grandson shouted with delight when he spied the very real-looking speckled eggs in my open box of Easter decorations. What a wonderful age! I never understood the phrase “terrible twos.”  I absolutely love this stage! Everything is new and exciting. Each day is exhilarating. There is a wonder and an innocence that is enviable. Even when it is tough being two, I find these little creatures hilarious. And the best part is that these little children adore all who care for them, making us delight in them even more!
